I’ve always loved to cook. My mother was a great cook, and my education began early and covered a wide range. Then I married another great cook, and together we explored many new cuisines.
Lately my cooking is much simpler, and in retirement I’m cooking for one most of the time. I enjoy quick, easy meals. I use shortcuts like veggies already cut up, washed, and bagged. But I still get nostalgic for the old days when I’d pull out all the stops.
The recipes here are a mixed bag. Some go way back in my family. Some have been acquired from friends over decades. Some are from my large collection of cookbooks. And some are lifted straight from that gigantic cookbook called the internet.
