July 21, 2020: Work on this new web is proceeding bit by bit. It’s teaching me a great deal and also provoking some thought about the directions I want to take.
So far I’ve created two complete sections. The Art Gallery was a major learning experience and much needed as my first project. Once I’ve “hung the paintings,” it feels like home.
You might wonder about my priorities in going straight to work on the second completed section, the Bicentennial Birthday Party. Because the web’s been down for a while, I looked at every section from the eyes of what people might actually be searching for it. Believe it or not, people do search for “Sara Lee bicentennial cake,” and this is about the only place they can find it. In fact, you can see a comment on my first post from a former Sara Lee co-worker looking for the cake story.
Where do I go from here? Next up is Annie’s Place, dedicated to our daughter. That’s another big story to be told. Stay tuned…
